Agnes Anderson

She moved to Galveston Texas following her graduation from Bleakwood High School. Agnes met and later married Charles Anderson in Galveston. They remained married for over 50 years, until Charles' death in 2005.

Agnes was a fabulous cook and loved to entertain her family, many holiday dinners and celebrations took place with everyone gathered at her home. Agnes also enjoyed gardening and reading. She was a devout Christian and in her later years could be found reading scriptures or watching services.

More than anything, she loved being a grandmother, and would share stories about her grandson to everyone around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Jepetha West, husband Charles Anderson, sisters Dottie Tourilla and Mae West, brothers Clyde, Jack, Paul and Lonnie. Agnes is survived by her daughter Carol Anderson and fiancé Brian Garcia, son Charles (Chuck) Anderson and wife Beth, grandson Ryan O'Daniel and sisters Nobie West and Hazel Kopecky and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Forest Park East, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster Texas. Funeral service to begin at 3:00pm. Interment and reception to follow.

Pallbearers will be: Wayne Braden, Allen Green, Ray West, Les O'Daniel, Jeff Seinsheimer and George F. Kopecky.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home for years of care and the Emergency staff and ICU staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital,especially nurses Kristin and Sara.
