Albert Eugene Golden

Gene had a career in maintenance for the Houston School District for 17 years and was a paint contractor before that. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Katy. In 1942 he joined the Marine Corps and was an amphibious truck driver in WWII. He was honorably discharge as Private in 1945. Gene loved to paint and work with his hands. If he wasn’t doing that, he would be outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; son Michael Golden and wife Cindy, son Randy Golden and wife Louise; daughter Paula Johnson and husband Tom; 9 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; sister Joyce Risenhoover; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas 77598. Graveside services will follow immediately after at 10:00 a.m. in Forest Park East Cemetery.
