Alma Jean Barker

Alma Jean Barker was in the Navy when she met her husband of 48 years, James P. Barker. She raised 5 children while her husband was in the Navy. She also worked at Thrifty Grocery Store in League City and at Bob Jones Vending in Pasadena. She was an active member in serving at New Hope Church. She was involved in Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts with her children. She had a passion for charity as well as for our Military. She enjoyed flowers, feeding her birds and camping.

Alma is survived by her children: Stephen Barker and wife Kathy, Dennis Barker and wife Jan, Roberta and husband Robert Hawkins, Beth and husband Gary Powell and Brian Barker, grand children: Chris Barker, Jenny Bradt, Abby Barker, Matthew Hawkins, Melissa Hawkins, Megan Barker, Adam Barker, Heather Powell, Tyler Powell and Amber Powell, great grandchildren: Jordan Hawkins, Lauren Hawkins.
