Alvin Martin Poche’ passed away February 3, 2013 in Houston, Texas. He was born October 9, 1941 in Baytown, Texas to Alvin Octave and Thelma Louise Poche’ who preceded him in death. After graduating from Dickinson High School he enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1960-1964. Alvin was a member and past commander of the American Legion in League City. He was retired from the City of Baytown.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Poche’; daughter, Janette Poche’; son, Jimmie Poche’; stepdaughter, Linda Medellin; three grandchildren, Haley, Tavi and Kalli Poche’ and two sisters, Helen Poche’ Mitchell and Candy Rodriguez.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. Funeral Services will be held in the Forest Park East Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 with Deacon Rob Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
