I am very honored to have called Anna not only my co-worker, but also my friend.  My life, as were many others, was greatly enriched by having known this sweet, gracious lady.  Anna has moved on to a much better place, but her smile will stay with us forever.

Ms. Anna Wu was not only my co-worker for the past 29 years, but she
also became one of my best friends for the past 30 years. So many
times since late last July, I tried to share something with her and
realized that she was not able to respond to me anymore. Today I am
here to share with you what kind of person she is in many different
aspects.

1. To her work - She was very responsible for her work. I remember in
the early years, she always stayed late and worked on weekends to
finish her assigned projects before the target date and without asking
for the comp. time. She also well documented whatever she has done
that made the maintenance job a lot easier. She undertook one of the
major tasks for the y2k conversion more than 10 years ago. She was
awarded not only the employee of department but also the employee of
the division more than once.

2. To her family - In earlier years, she enjoyed so much to take her
parents to different places every year. When her mother's health
became bad, she insisted to keep her mother at home and took care of
her every night and weekends until her mother passed away.

3. To her friends - She had so many good friends for so many years.
She was not only good to her friends but also to the friends'
families. She used to buy Christmas gifts for my kids when they were
little. When my mom came to the U.S.A. many years ago for a short
period of time, she thought my mother might be lonely at home by
herself, she had her mother called my mother many times a week. When
my parents passed away many years ago, she supported me emotionally
and financially. When my brother-in-law and my daughter-in-law were
diagnosed with cancer, she bought many related books for them immediately.

4. To her coworkers - She volunteered to sell stamps and make changes
in our office. Sometime you can hear her yell 'here is your penny,'
and she would rush out from her office to return the extra change to
the purchaser. Once she retired, there were still some coworkers who
came to her old office and tried to buy stamps or get change for the
vending machine.  She also liked to take pictures in her earlier days.
She not only took the pictures but also printed extra copies for the
people in her pictures.  She remembered everyone's birthday, and she
liked to purchase the balloons and lighted the candles in the party.

5. Charity contributions - She is very frugal towards herself, but
very generous towards charities. Each year, she contributed the top
amount for United Way, donated her vacation time to the coworkers in
need, and donated food to the food bank. I know that she has
contributed to many other charities as well.

Today she is no longer in this world, but she will be still in my memory forever.
