

Annie Myrtle Reed, age 77, passed away suddenly on March 01, 2015 with her loving husband of 58 years by her side. Annie was born on July 28, 1937 in Sontag, Mississippi to her parents Joseph and Ollie Smith. She married Glenn Reed on June 29, 1956. She loved and adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart. The love between her and Glenn was very special and their commitment to one another was seen by all who met them. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, arts and crafts, fishing, and playing bingo. Annie is survived by her husband Glenn; brother Dale Smith; brother Ray Smith; sister Mildred Crain; sister Evelyn Randall; sister Christine Brown; son Ronnie and daughter-in-law Louise Reed; daughter Dee Ann and son-in-law Gary Knetsch; daughter Sherry and son-in-law Kraig Kitchen; daughter Joy and son-in-law Larry Meyers; and nine grandchildren Stephanie Reed, Joshua and wife Rebecca Reed, Jennifer Reed, Leslie and husband Randy Johnson, Megan Knetsch, Jacob Reiner, Avry Kitchen, Justin and wife Sammi Meyers, and Brandon and wife Amber Meyers. She was also blessed with eight beautiful great-grandchildren Maximilian, Remington, Vivienne, Melanie, Julianne, Emilee, Adelynn, and Abigail. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Annie is preceded in death by her grandson Ricky Dale; mother and father Joseph and Ollie Smith; brothers Robert, Dee, Jimmie, and Joe Troy Smith; and sisters Lucy Fussell, Darlene Torak, and Rachel Smith.
Her children would like to thank the caring staff at St. James House in Baytown, Texas for the love and support they have given their Mom and will continue to give to their Dad. Annie loved each and every one who cared for her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Annie Reed’s memory to St. James House; 5800 West Baker Rd. Baytown, Texas 77520. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 04, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. with interment to follow in Forest Park East Cemetery.
