

He was born on September 29, 1948 in Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of George K. Boos and Theda M. (Hoagey) Boos. He was married to his wife, Nancy L. (Morgan) Boos, for 45 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Theda Boos; brother, Gregory (Sasha) Boos; sister, Brenda K. (Boos) Patton; nephew, Joshua Boos; and a granddaughter, Angel Lee Boos.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Boos; step-daughter, Denise L (Young) Oppelt and husband Randy Oppelt of Douglassville, PA; son, Arthur S.K. Boos, Jr. and wife Bonnie (White) Boos of Dickinson, TX; son, Franklin C. Boos and wife Sydney (Patterson) Boos of League City, TX; daughter, Ann Marie Boos Day of Pasadena, TX; step-sister, Connie Cass of FL; step-brother, Gary Cass of NC; nephew, Jason L. Quinn and wife Ana (Iwanicka) Quinn of Warsaw, Poland; niece, Roxi (Quinn) Farrington and husband Mark Farrington of Greentown, PA; niece, Rubi (Boos) Schuler of Scranton, PA. He had 5 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 1 step-great grandson, 3 grandnieces, 4 grandnephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Over the years, Arthur had been employed by the Pottstown Mercury Newspaper as a journeyman printer, the Delaware Co Daily Times newspaper as a Composing Room Department Manager, Packard Press, Inc. as both Composing Room Manager and EDGAR Financial Department Manager. From 1986 thru 1989, he was a co-owner and manager for Imprint, Inc. Print Shop on 20th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After moving to League City, TX in June of 1990, he worked for Bowne of Houston/Dallas as their EDGAR Financial Filing Department Manager until his retirement in July of 2006. He worked part-time for several years with SAIC at Johnson Space Center/NASA in Houston, Texas.
Arthur was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served in the US Air Force from June 1967 thru June of 1971. He continued his service with the US Air National Guard out of Willow Grove Air Base in Pennsylvania from 1972 thru 1975.
He was a member of the American Legion, Post #554, located on Hwy 3 in League City, Texas.
He had a passion for boating and was an avid fisherman. Arthur could be found salt water fishing at 18th Street Pier, San Leon, the Texas City Dike and all over the Texas Gulf Coast and Bays. He loved and enjoyed fishing all year long.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
