Bennie Ray Irons

Bennie was born February 15, 1955 in Baytown, Texas to James and Laurice (Cannon) Irons.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Cody) Pick, son Benjamin Irons, sister Hilda Wilkins, brother James Irons and five grandchildren Emili, Kayleigh, Clayton, Landri and Brody. Also surviving is longtime friend Toni Ford as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Bennie is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Bennie graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas; class of 1973. Bennie’s lifestyle can be summed up by his motto “Work hard, play hard”; he worked diligently as a machinist for many years. He had a passion for being around water—whether it was boating, fishing, swimming or surfing. Bennie never knew a stranger, he could go anywhere and easily make new friends; he was also a member of the Jimmy Buffet Parrot Heads.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, September 28th at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
