Bobby Glyn Bailey

Bobby Glyn Bailey, 87, of Houston, Texas, passed away on March 18, 2016 in Webster, Texas. He was born in Haynesville, Louisiana on January 2, 1929 to R.D. and Rua Harp Bailey. Bobby was married to his loving wife, Dorothy Courville Bailey for 65 beautiful years.

After serving his country courageously for ten years in the United States Navy, Bobby started a career as an Engineer for NASA, EBASCO and LOCKHEED helping his country explore outer space. He was a member of American Legion Post #0490 and he had a passion for American History especially that of the Civil War.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Michael Karl Bailey.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bailey; daughter, Glenda B Scherer and her husband Fred; son, Todd L. Bailey and Debbie Weatherton; grandsons, Collin Scherer and wife Sarah; Carson Scherer; Matthew Bailey, Brett Bailey and JR Bailey; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Collin Scherer, Carson Scherer, Matthew Bailey, Brett Bailey, Dewey Harp and Russell Harp.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Bobby’s Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
