

Brad was born in Houston, Texas to Edward Earl Calhoun and Patricia Oldmixon Calhoun on June 14, 1954. He attended Pearland High School, and afterwards enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in March of 1973. He earned his GED while proudly serving his country as a Marine for over 6 1/2 years, some of which was overseas in Japan, and lastly as a Drill Instructor at Paris Island. He was on the Master Rifle and Pistol Team, receiving a Pistol Expert Badge, a Rifle Expert Badge, and the National Defense and Service Medal. He earned and honorable discharge September of 1979. Following his honorable military service, Brad built a long and dedicated career in the electric power industry with Houston Lighting and Power (later known as Centerpoint Energy), beginning as a Journeyman Lineman and retiring as an Operating Systems Training Coordinator.
Brad was a devoted member of Fairfield Baptist Church, where he joyfully gave his time volunteering where he was needed. He could often be found running the church's slideshow, coordinating and maintaining the church grounds, organizing Cars and Coffee gatherings, and playing his beloved bass guitar in the church's praise band. His service to others was a true reflection of his faith.
Above all, Brad will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He enjoyed playing his guitar, riding motorcycles, woodworking, bird watching, hunting, and fishing, but his greatest joy came from the time spent with his family and friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lisa Calhoun, and his parents, Edward Earl and Patricia Calhoun.
Brad is survived by his siblings, Dan Calhoun and his wife Jane Calhoun, and Becky Griffie and her husband Steve Griffie; his former wives, Karen Crites and Connie Taylor; his children: Michael Calhoun, John Calhoun and his wife Tracy Calhoun, Michelle Harris and her husband Seth Harris, Ashlin Pacheco and her husband Manuel Pacheco, Autumn Sweet, and also his faithful fur child, Maggie, grandchildren: Zane, Austin and Levi Calhoun; Cole and Courtney Calhoun, and Kyle and Casey Reeves; Tucker, Grant, Callie, and Georgia Harris; and Mia, Kylian, and Chloe Pacheco.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at Fairfield Baptist Church, 27240 US 290 Access Road, Cypress, Texas.
Funeral Services will be on August 29th, 2025, at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park East funeral home from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., followed by a memorial donations may be made to Fairfield Baptist Church.
