

Butch was born in Clarksburg, WV on June 26th, 1945 to Joe Whitfield Dodson, and Betty Fisher Dodson, as the oldest of three children. Sister Debbie passed at the age of 4, Brother John (Angel) lives in Seabrook, TX.
Butch was married to Denise Hood in 1974 and lived in Kemah, Texas for 48 years. Butch worked for HL&P for 35 years, then decided to retire to enjoy life. After several years, Butch decided to choose to go to work at Beacon Lakes Golf Course, where he could enjoy his love of golf and met many new friends. Butch will be remembered for his love of Hunting, Fishing and Golf. When he was not enjoying an outdoor sport you could often find him working on a woodworking project, or enjoying time with children, grandchildren and his large extended family and friends. He spent several years in support of the Clear Creek FFA.
His love for travel took Butch all over the US, enjoying these experiences with family and friends, from Alaska to Florida to California and Vegas. One of his favorite trips was living his dream of going to the Masters with his son Greg and friends in Augusta, GA.
Butch is survived by:
Wife Denise Dodson, Brother John Dodson, Son Greg (Aleshia), Daughter Lori (Scott).
Grandchildren: Chelsi Dodson, Hunter Dodson, Hannah Dodson, Riley Kindred.
Great Grandchildren: Benjamin Salgado, Esteban Rodriguez and Cannan Crouthers.
A memorial service for Butch will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
