Carole was born on October 20th, 1957 in Berkhamsted, England, as the younger of two daughters in a tightly knit family. At the age of seven, Carole moved to Angleton, Texas with her parents and sister, and she lived in the Houston area for the remainder of her life. Despite the cultural transition of the move to Texas, Carole quickly adapted to her new life, and excelled in both school and social activities. She was a graduate of the Madison High School Class of 1974, and helped coordinate class reunions for many years to come.
Over the years, Carole pursued a successful professional career as an oil & gas accountant, including several years with Shell Oil. Always a hard worker, Carole’s true focus was on providing for her family. She was proud of being an independent and successful single mother, and found great joy in raising her sons Joel and Jason. Carole welcomed her husband Scott into the family when they married in July of 2000, and they remained inseparable for nearly 25 years.
In retirement, Carole obtained her paralegal degree, which she used to volunteer with Child Advocates of Fort Bend County as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Carole had a passion for animals, travel, and classic rock, but her true love was always her family. A wonderful daughter, mother, and wife, Carole was known for her kindness, generosity, and loving nature. The health issues that Carole battled in her later years did not dampen her spirit, and she faced them with courage, grace, and dignity.
Carole is survived by her sons Joel and Jason, husband Scott, niece Melissa, nephew Carson, and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Brenda, and her beloved sister Lynne.
Carole will be dearly missed by her family and friends, and her legacy of love, generosity, and kindness will live on through those she touched throughout her life.
