

Carole Park Knapick, 71, of Cypress, Texas, passed away January 5, 2016. She was born in Madisonville, Texas on September 3, 1944 to Eunice Spivey Park and David Oliver Park. Carole was married to William Charles Knapick for over 50 years. Carole worked as a high school Journalism and English teacher at Milby, Pearland, and Friendswood High Schools. She graduated from the University of Houston and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Her passions were reading, writing and photography. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and her beloved Uncle Virgil Roy Park. Carole is survived by her husband, William; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon Carole and John Byron Anderson Watson; and grandchildren Lindsey Carole, Steven Nathaniel, Rachel Kathleen and husband Cameron John George McKenzie; and numerous relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to A.D.O.R.E. Houston (All Dogs Official Rescue Enterprise Houston – a 501(c)(3) tax exempt animal welfare organization, founded by Angela Madeksho, who is like a daughter to Carole and William. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 3:00 p.m. Carole will be laid to rest on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
