Carolyn Sue Meyer, 75, of Galveston, TX went to be with the Lord, after an extended illness that she fought bravely for 45 years, on Friday, October 20, 2023. She was born on October 17, 1948 in Brady, TX.

Her extraordinary work with the Women’s Center was recognized by being selected to carry the Olympic Torch as the flame made its way through Houston for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT. She also served as a respite volunteer for West Houston Hospice. She was a member of Moody United Methodist Church and delivered meals for Galveston Island Meals on Wheels.
She loved to travel, especially cruises, and her favorite was cruising the Arctic Circle.
