

He was brought up in Texas City, Texas and attended Texas City High School where he was on the football and basketball teams. For many years he enjoyed seeing old friends at high school reunions.
Soon after graduating from high school, he joined the Navy. After the Navy, his lifelong career was in information technology. Working in hospitals initially then businesses managing IT departments and running the first mainframe computers.
Cecil loved traveling, gardening, but most of all he loved his family and his home.
He is predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Cecil Graves.
He was married for 59 years to the love of his life, Maureen Graves.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen Graves, sons, Ian and Callum and much-loved grandchildren, Lauren, Conner, Austin, Liam and Grant.
He will be sadly missed.

A visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, on February 16, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
The funeral service will follow at the same venue at 1:00 pm.
A committal service is scheduled at the same location from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
A catered reception will follow at Forest Park East Funeral Home from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
