Charles (Chaz) J. Fernandez, 86, of Houston, Texas, passed away on July 18, 2017. He was born in Galveston, Texas on January 8, 1931 to Joaquin and Julia Fernandez. He was married to Arlene Fernandez for 39 years. Charlie had a career in real estate with Prudential McCarver Realtors. Charlie enjoyed a passion for music, photography, sailing, golf and travelling.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Joaquin and Julia; brother Tony and 2 sisters, Eleanor and Gloria.
He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene; sister Cil; 2 step-sons, David and Steven; 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas 77598 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:30 p.m. and interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2506 65th Street Galveston, Texas 77551.
