She was married to David Coburn for 60 years. Christene was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Bacliff, Texas. She had a passion for quilting, cooking and baking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Coburn; sons, David Roy Coburn and Jesse B. Coburn; parents, Roy and Mabel Palmer; one brother and three sisters.
She is survived by daughter, Lora and husband David; grandsons, Troy and wife Ranee, Tim and wife Rachel, David Jr. and wife Amanda, David Coburn Jr. and wife Dawn, Christopher Lloyd Coburn and wife Destine, Kent and Ron Funderberg; granddaughter, Rhonda Coburn; daughter-in-law, Lucille Coburn; two sisters and numerous great- grandchildren.
