Christopher Austin Stonestreet

Christopher “Austin” Stonestreet of Houston, Texas, passed away in the early morning of November 6, 2024. Austin was born in High Point, North Carolina on April 6, 1982 to Ashley Joseph Stonestreet and Rebecca Vernon Pugh. He was a Vice President for BrandSafway Corporation. Austin proudly served his country, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

His interests were many and varied, but above everything was his family. His wife of 10 years, Erin (McLaughlin), daughters Colin (9) and Avery (5) were his heartbeat. Austin enjoyed the outdoors, especially duck hunting and fishing. He was also an avid golfer. While in North Carolina, his church family was Bridge of Hope Church in Greensboro. Upon moving to Texas, he became a member of Gateway Community Church. Austin had a powerful testimony of the faithfulness of God in his life. `

He is survived by his wife Erin, daughters Colin and Avery, parents, Rebecca Vernon Pugh, father Ashley Joseph Stonestreet, his sisters Rebecca Preston (Scott), Elizabeth Pugh, Rachel Pugh, and nephews David and Liam Preston.

Austin was a leader and a mentor. He looked for opportunities to pour into the lives of people, and touched countless individuals through his kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13 from 6:00pm – 8:00p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy., Webster, TX. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 14, 11:00a.m. at Gateway Community Church, 760 Clear Lake City Boulevard, Webster, Texas, with reception following.
