

Clifford Dobbs was born May 15, 1943 in Belen, New Mexico to Forrest and Stella Dobbs. He graduated from Belen High School and attended Western New Mexico University where he earned a B.A. in Accounting and Education. He started his career with the government in Farmington, New Mexico and was transferred to Houston, Texas in 1972 with the intention of returning to Belen following retirement at the young age of 55. However, he remained in Houston to be close to his 11 grandchildren who were the apple of his eye. He enjoyed yearly hunting trips to New Mexico and fishing in Colorado. He will be missed for his witty sense of humor and his generosity. He passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the age of 71. His parents, Forrest and Stella, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Katy Dobbs; son Scotty Dobbs and wife Cheri Harjo-Dobbs; son Dale Dobbs and wife Julie Dobbs; daughter Vikki Schoenstein and husband Patrick Schoenstein; grandchildren Breann Dobbs, Brandi Dobbs, Hunter Dobbs, Carson Schoenstein, Dawson Dobbs, Colton Dobbs, Remington Dobbs, Conner Schoenstein, Kendall Schoenstein, Tanner Dobbs and Cannon Schoenstein; sister Anna Fraker; and nephews Gary Crawford and Terry Crawford.
Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Los Chavez on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to National Kidney Foundation; www.kidney.org
