

Crystal Rae Brown Mines, 35, of San Leon, Texas passed away peacefully on February 22, 2012. Crystal was born August 17, 1976 in Sharpstown, Texas, to Ronald Ray Brown and Diane Stavinoha Davis. Crystal graduated from El Campo High School and later attended Alvin Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Business and Applied Science. After graduating she accepted a position at Vinson and Elkins Law Firm as a Project Coordinator - Paralegal where she was employed for 10 years. For the past 3 years she has enjoyed being a stay at home wife to her loving husband Craig Mines of 5 years. Crystal enjoyed gardening, reading, listening to music, and caring for her beloved animals. You would often find her with a cup of coffee, sitting on her deck, enjoying the ocean view. Crystal loved tubing the river, spending time with family and friends, going on motorcycle rides, cruising around in her golf cart and enjoying the outdoors. Crystal is survived by her loving husband Craig Mines of San Leon, Texas, her parents Ronald Ray Brown of Nassau Bay, Texas, Diane Stavinoha Davis of El Campo, Texas, and her step-parents Gary Davis, Freddy Jolley, and Sharlene Brown, her mother and father-in-law Sussan and James Blank, her sister-in-law Kelly Muceke, her brothers-in-law Matthew Muceke and Matthew Gertson, her grandparents Veronika Stavinoha of Louise, Texas, and Laverne Jolley of Paducah, Texas, her sisters JoLynn Jolley Gertson of League City, Texas, Ellie and Angela Brown of Nassau Bay, her niece Taylor Gertson, and her nephew Caden Gertson, her Aunts and Uncles Robert Mendoza and Pam Amason Mendoza, Ricky, Robert and Mike Amason. Johnnie and Rita Stavinoha, and Joe Ned and Desiree Jolley, her cousins John Ashley, Gina, Coby, and Sean Stavinoha, Sarah and Samantha Rusk, Kristina, Christopher, Samantha, Phillip, and Dwayne Amason, and Lanae and Rachel Jolley. Crystal was preceded in death by her great grandparents Annie and Joe Kelso, her grandfathers Robert Amason, Johnnie Stavinoha, and Ned F. Jolley, her grandmother Joyce Amason, and her Uncle Ricky Amason.
The Viewing will be held on Monday February 27, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and the funeral will be held the following day on Tuesday February 28, 2012 at 12:30 PM both at Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster Texas.
