

David Lee Allen, 68, of Rosharon, Texas, passed away August 28, after a very long and hard fought illness. He was born in Houston, Texas on August 1, 1947, to Troy D. And Genastell Allen. He was married to Brenda Allen for 33 years. David worked as a Gang Intelligence Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice before he retired. He had a passion for hunting and had numerous game trophies along the walls of his house. He loved fishing, water skiing and snow skiing. He loved the rodeo and toured in the rodeo circuit in his youth. He played bass guitar in a band that toured throughout the country for several years. He loved law enforcement and was a police officer for many years. He served his country in the Vietnam War. He worked many types of jobs in his life. He was in roofing, construction, law enforcement, prison guard and intelligence officer. His favorite job was being husband, father and grandfather. He loved Mexican food and peanut butter cookies. He loved Country Music and Doo-Wop Music. Like most Texans, he loved guns and had a vast collection of various types of rifles and pistols. He also enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. David was preceded in death by his parents Troy D. And Genastell Cloe Allen, and his brother Jimmy D. Allen. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Allen. His son Ron Thomas, his daughter Wendy Williams, and son-in-law Michael Williams. His grandchildren, Kennedy Williams, Amber Thomas, and Garrett Williams. And many other family and friends. A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. The Celebration of David’s Life will be Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with interment to immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
