David (Junior) was predeceased by his parents, David and Manuela Casas and his brothers Richard and Albert. He is survived by his wife Theresa of 53 years, sons, David Casas III, Steven Casas, Richard Nelson Casas and wife Tamera, Valdemar Bernal and wife Kilian as well as grandchildren Desiree, David, Max, Brett, Chloe, Jose, Candace, and future grandson-in-law, Ryan. Junior was blessed with a large family with numerous brothers & sisters, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and an extended family and friends all across Texas and California.
Junior was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a great friend to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He possessed a witty and gregarious personality with an incredible gift of storytelling that truly endeared him to all of those he met. He was genuinely loved by everyone.
Junior was born on January 6, 1949 in Austin, Texas and later moved to Pasadena, Texas as a teenager. He began dating his beautiful wife Theresa at the age of 16 and they married in 1969 at the age of 20.
Junior worked as a draftsman and a journeyman in his young adult life and later he ran a successful small business, Casas Catering, with his wife until they retired in 2005. He was a fan of all the Houston sports teams and any team that played against the Dallas Cowboys. However, he was especially fond of his Houston Astros. Junior was truly a jack-of-all-trades and an avid outdoorsman. He did his best to pass down this knowledge to his kids and grandchildren. His greatest pastime was fishing on the pier at his in-laws’, Eli and Mary, beach house in Galveston, TX. He was a devout and doting family man and there was no greater example of this than the love and pride he had for his grandchildren.
The family also wants to give a special thank you to Joe and Wanda Fannin for all of the incredible memories during 50+ years of loving friendship.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ForestParkEast-FHC.com for the Casas family.
