A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister, Laly was preceded in death by her husband of 65 beautiful years, Jesse Z. Gonzales, and her beloved sons, Jesse Jr. and Larry Sr.
She leaves behind her sons, Ray and Adam Gonzales, her brother Theodore Vasquez, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren—with one more great-great-grandchild on the way—along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished family friends, many of whom she undoubtedly had a hand in "raising."
Laly’s boundless love, generosity, and positivity were felt by all who knew her. She had a rare gift for always finding the bright side, never hesitating to help others, and spreading joy with her thoughtful nature. A dedicated Astros fan, Laly rarely missed a game, always crafting her lineups with passion. Despite facing numerous health challenges, she was a fighter through and through, inspiring those around her to never give up.
Laly will forever be remembered as someone whose warmth, resilience, and unwavering kindness left a lasting imprint on everyone she met. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 1st.
This will be an informal come and go celebration between the hours of 12pm-5pm, please contact family for location information.
