Doria "Beth" Myers

Beth was born in Monroe, Louisiana on April 30, 1930. She passed away on June 12, 2013 surrounded by loved ones. She was the first of three daughters born to Howard William Montgomery and Doris Weilenman Montgomery. Beth attended Quachita Parrish High School and later Graduated from Northeast Louisiana Junior College. She married Robert Ray Myers on March 1, 1952 in Pasadena, Texas. Beth worked as a legal secretary for Humble Oil prior to the birth of her children. She later worked for Transport Systems and then Allied Seabrook Bank, which became Wells Fargo Bank, in Seabrook until her retirement. Beth was a longtime member of Seabrook United Methodist Church, serving on many committees and volunteering in the church office for many years. Beth is survived by her children Robert Ray Myers Jr. and Laurie Myers Moorhead. Their spouses Jeannie Myers and Ben Moorhead, grandchildren: Blake Lewis Moorhead and wife Kim, Katie Michelle Moorhead, Jeffrey Howard Myers, Kenneth and great grandchild Blaine Lewis Moorhead as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister Lorna Montgomery Gentile. Beth is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Robert Ray Myers, her sister Alice Howard Montgomery Sims, and her parents.

A Memorial service celebrating Beth's life will take place at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Seabrook United Methodist Church, 3300 Lakeside Drive, Seabrook TX 77586.
