

He was born May 20,1961 in Los Angeles, CA to Horace “Rock” Sawyer & Earlene “Honey” Collins. When he was a young boy his family moved to the Sagemont area of Houston, TX where he graduated from J. Frank Dobie HS in 1980. From Dobie he worked for HL & P and others as an electrical lineman before stepping away and umpiring little league baseball fulltime in his later years
Eddie loved spending time with family & friends watching sports and rooting for his teams to win. He loved his Astros, Rockets & Texans with a passion. He also loved watching golf but even more playing the game with family and friends. Anytime his Tiger Woods was on, you can guarantee Eddie was somewhere watching.
An avid movie lover at heart the cinema is where you could also usually find him watching the newest flicks to hit the screens especially a horror movie – he loved a good horror movie
He was a loving Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother , Uncle & friend to many who knew him and lit up the room wherever he was whether by telling a funny story , jokes or busting a sweet dance move
He is survived by his daughter, Stacy ( Cory ) Llewellyn & son ,Scott ( Amber ) Sawyer as well as 3 granddaughters : Courtney Cox, Shelby Llewellyn & Chelsey Llewellyn
His beloved brothers & sister : Jim ( Gail )Sawyer , Rocky Sawyer , Steve (Tammy) Sawyer , Barbara Schexnayder , Randy ( Tracy ) Sawyer & Doug ( Cathy ) Sawyer will miss him immensely
He is proceeded in death by his parents Rock & Honey Sawyer and brother-in-law Kerry Schexnayder
