Emilio L. Vazquez, Sr., 93 of Houston, Texas, passed away on September 14, 2016. He was born in Tula, Tamaulipas on April 4, 1923 to Manuel Vazquez and Ignacia Lara. He was married to Agustina N. Vazquez for 68 years. He loved life, his family, and music.
He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Ignacia Vazquez and son Jorge Vazquez.
He is survived by his wife Agustina Vazquez; children, Ignacia Martinez, Manuel (Carmen), Emilio Jr. (Caroline), Bertha Gerardo (George Sr.), Arturo, Gloria Duran (Joel), Cesar, Ruben (Barbara), Roger (Nancy), and Martha Aguilar (David); Siblings, Pedro Vazquez (Lydia) and Anita Vazquez; Twenty-nine Grandchildren, Twenty-two great-grandchildren, and Five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, TX 77598. Emilio's Celebration of Life will be on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Forest Park East Cemetery.
