Evelyn, better known as Bibi, was born July 21, 1960; the eldest of four children belonging to Tony and Rachel (Beltran) Garcia.
Bibi was a kind and caring soul who loved her family above everything. She worked as a long-distance operator for AT&T for many years while staying home and caring for her family. Bibi and her mother Rachel owned and operated an in-home daycare, Brite Angels, one of the first in the area to offer Spanish language immersion. It was not uncommon for children Bibi and Rachel cared for to return once they were adults to visit with them. When family and friends came in from out of town, Bibi was the one to take them wherever they wanted to go. Her nurturing and generous spirit will be much missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father Tony Garcia, and one brother Mark Garcia.
Bibi is survived by her mother Rachel Garcia, two brothers Anthony Garcia (John Johnson) and Erik Garcia, as well as her partner, Vila Patel Martinez.
Funeral Mass for Evelyn will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 14, 2021 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery
