Frank E. Buchman

Frank E. Buchman of Houston, Texas peacefully departed this earth and went to check the great trot line in the sky on May 30th, 2012. Frank was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on April 4th, 1936 to Harry Frederick Buchman and Rena Buchman. He was the 5th of 6 children. Frank married Karin Helga Gassmann on July 15th, 1966 in Pforzheim, Germany and has resided in Houston for the past 42 years. Frank is survived by Karin, his wife of 45 years, his 4 children, Hans Peter Buchman and wife, Susana of Houston, TX, Petra Zepeda and husband, Steve of Houston, TX, Sandra Sanchez and husband Keith of Georgetown, TX, Markus Buchman and wife, Debra of Fresno, TX, 6 grandchildren, Sandra Buchman, John Peter Buchman and wife, Glenda, Derek Sanchez, Joshua Piecznski, Jack Sanchez and Maximus Buchman, 1 great-grandchild, Madeline Buchman, sister, Barbara Wittenbreder of Madison Township, Pennsylvania and niece, Karen Giles of London, Kentucky.

Frank retired from the United States Air Force after proudly serving his country for over 20 years in 1974 and was a proud member of the VFW. In addition to retiring from the Air Force, Frank retired from the United States Postal Service where he worked as a mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Rest in Peace.

In honor of Frank's request, there will not be a viewing. The military funeral honoring Frank will be held Thursday, June 7th at 11:30am at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
