

Dr. Connors, a New York native, attended the Virginia Military Institute, Class of 1962 and the Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry, Class of 1965. His first six years of practice were at the VA Hospital in Fort Mead, South Dakota, followed by a private practice in Clear Lake from 1972 -2005. He truly loved his dentistry practice and all the patients he cared for. He was an avid golfer for many years and loved travelling, both abroad and in the US. He and his wife, Carol, spent most of their retirement years travelling the US and Canada in a motorhome, and loving every moment of their adventures. They made an annual visit to the Connors’ family compound in Angola, New York for the 4th of July celebration and family reunion.
Dr. Connors is survived by his loving wife, Carol, three children, Kimberly, Timothy, and Jason (Maria); two step children, Richard Matthews, Jr., wife Fran, and Deborah Matthews, and daughter-in-law Meg Connors.
Eight grandchildren: Brittany (Kevin), Kaleigh, Ryan, Karina, Caroline, Alyssa, Heather (Mike) and Nick. Four great grandchildren: Cody, Madilyn, Jameson and Jack. Two nieces, Debbie Fein (Phillip), Sharon Hart (Kevin) and nephew, Michael Connors (Linda). Two sisters-in-law, Sandra Connors and Bobbie Connors; and numerous cousins.
Dr. Connors is preceded in death by his young son, Ryan, his parents, Cyril and Jennie Connors and his brothers, William Connors and Jack Connors.
A memorial service celebrating Dr. Connors’ life will be held on Friday, January 4, 2018, 3:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas.
