

Gerry Dsouza passed away peacefully at his home in Seabrook, Texas on August 18, 2025. Born in Bombay, India, he was the youngest of 8 children. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, he sought out additional opportunities. His pioneering spirit led him to the United States where he completed his Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, with honors - tau beta pi, from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is where he met his lifetime love, Linda. This union of 51 years produced three children and two grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather, and a professional engineer. He was known for his Catholic faith, charitable spirit, gregarious personality, hearty laugh, singing songs, unique voicemails, and love for others. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Dsouza, his children, Angie Porter and husband Dan Porter, Peter Dsouza and wife Ly Dsouza, and Mia Dsouza, his grandchildren, Sarah and Jacob Porter, and his siblings Douglas Dsouza, Egbert Dsouza, and Flossie DeSouza. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Clara D’Souza, and his siblings Alex, Blanche, Connie, and Nora D’Souza.
A rosary will be held on September 19, 2025 at 9:30 am followed by a memorial mass at 10:30 am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church - 18223 Point Lookout Dr., Houston, TX 77058. He will be deeply missed and remembered for a life well-lived.
