Geraldine ‘Gerri’ Williams, 62, of Friendswood, Texas passed away on September 28, 2019. She was born on August 5, 1957 in Quincy, Florida. Gerri joined the Air Force in 1975 and retired as Chief Master Sergeant with 24 years served. Through the many titles she’s held, the one that gave Gerri the most pride and joy was Nana. She was proud to attend her grandchildren’s events as much as she could. Nana loved to cook and her favorite was making holiday meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her cooking was so good, she could have been a chef!
To everyone who knew Gerri, they know she never met a stranger that she didn’t say hello and try to help. Mom was witty, intellectual and joyful. She’s the kind of person you want on your side. Her family is proud to say she has always been on their side.
Gerri was preceded in death by her mother, Allie Gene Reed and aunts and uncles. She is survived by loving husband of 35 years, Will Williams, Jr.; daughters Ayeshia Toy and Fabiere Lloyd and son-in-law Brian Lloyd; 5 grandchildren Brooklyn Underwood, Jon-Brayden Lloyd, Bryce Lloyd, Elijah Hunter, and Emani Hunter; siblings Jennifer Sutton, Jeffrey “Wayne” Reed, Gladys Finch, Aradella Miller, and Abigail Wright; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Her devotion, unconditional love and strength will live on through her family and they will miss her dearly. Gerri’s family and friends know her line - “keep living, child, keep living”. This is what the family plans to do - to carry her spirit and joy for life forward.
