

Gregorio Santillan, 58, of Houston, TX, passed away August 27th, 2015. Greg was born in Houston, TX on March 12, 1957 to Guillermo and Emilia Santillan. Greg was the second oldest of five siblings. He attended Resurrection Catholic School, Annunciation Catholic School, graduated class of 1977 from St. Thomas High School and then attended technical school with a focus in mechanical aviation. Greg had a career as a Spanish interpreter at both Ben Taub and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospitals for the past 18 years. Greg enjoyed fishing, bowling, wearing suspenders, telling silly jokes, offering advice about the latest health craze, helping others and spending time at home with family. Greg is preceded in death by parents Guillermo and Emilia Santillan. He is survived by his sister Maria Guadalupe; brothers Roberto and wife Dora, Juan and wife Margarita, and Victor; niece Monica and husband John Salinas; nephews John, Robert-Christian and wife Kaytlynn, and Daniel; grand-niece Emilia Salinas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Heart Association. A visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with interment to immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
