

She was born in Kirbyville, Texas on February 21, 1930 to Ira F. Everage and Hazel (Neely) Everage. She was married to Johnny L. Allen for 30 years, and to George W. McBee for 35 years. She worked as a Secretary for several companies including GrayBar Electric and Gulfgate State Bank, and retired in 1988 from Nabisco with 24 years of service.
Hazel received a Professional Secretary Certification from Elliott Business School in downtown Houston in the late 1940’s that gave her an opportunity to better support and raise her children. She proudly served as Den Mother of her son’s Cub Scout Pack from 1959-1961. She was a member of Pasadena Boulevard United Methodist Church for over 25 years, as well as First Baptist Church of Pearland, Porter Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of Pasadena for the last 15 years, where she cheerfully served as a Church Service Greeter. Hazel starting bowling in the late 1950s, and loved bowling with friends on various leagues throughout her life in Houston, Pearland, and Pasadena.
Hazel was preceded in death by her father, Ira F. Everage; mother, Hazel Hulse; brother, Ira L. Everage; sister-in-law, Frances Everage, and daughter, Sherry L. Green. She is survived by her husband, George W. McBee; daughter, Patsy Kilpatrick and husband Steve of Hernando, FL; son, Johnny Allen Jr. and wife Pam of Houston, TX; daughter, Susan McBee Bullok and husband Chris of Campbell, TX; and son, David McBee and wife Pauline of Moncks Corner, SC; grandchildren, Joe Woodland and wife Melissa of Gun Barrel, TX; Jason Woodland of Nacogdoches, TX; Sherry Kilpatrick Kemp and husband Zack of Naples, FL; Angela Allen Espinosa and husband Miguel of Hillsborough, CA; Erin Bullok and Catherine Bullok both of Dallas, Texas; Rebecca McBee Luff and husband Grayson of Moncks Corner, SC; Matthew McBee and wife LeeAnna of Moncks Corner, SC; numerous great-grandchildren, and extended family.
