HELEN LAURICE SANFORD TEMPLETON, 90, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, February 9, 2014 in Sugar Land, Texas. She was born October 29, 1923 in Calhoun, Louisiana; the daughter of Vollie and Lizzie Mae Sanford. She grew up in Calhoun and graduated from Calhoun High School. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Scott Templeton, Sr. and her three sons: Scott Templeton, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Rosharon, Texas; Jerry Templeton and his wife Janell of League City, Texas and Barry Templeton of Sugar Land, Texas. She is also surived by seven granddaughters: Stephanie Perez, Christine Wewerka, Kimberly Laughlin, Lianne Templeton, Melissa Templeton, Ashley Templeton, Michelle Templeton and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was a retired bank officer, a long-time member of South Main Baptist Church, and an expert bridge player. She enjoyed gardening and being with her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster at 3 o’clock on Thursday, February 13, 2014.
