Hernaldo Rivera

Hernaldo Rivera, 74, of Wharton, TX, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was welcomed into heaven by his beloved parents, Guadalupe and Reyes Rivera, as well as his sisters, Delia and Delfina, and brothers, Feliz, Richard Amadeo and Steven.

Hernaldo's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, especially his grandchildren, who were a source of great joy and pride throughout his life. He is survived by his three sons: Hernaldo Rivera, Jr., Brian Luz Rivera & Maria Lucilla, and Benjamin Jesus Rivera. His only daughter, Veronica Rivera Postel and Adolph Duane Postel III, along with his cherished grandchildren Vivian Danielle Zapata, Adolph Dylan Postel IV, Brian Rivera Jr., Bellamy Wycoff, Angelo Postel, Ava Postel, and Brissa Rivera, who will forever carry his memory.

Hernaldo is also survived by his siblings: Guadalupe, Martin, and David Rivera, as well as Dolores, Maria, and Erlinda Rivera. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many cherished friends. Along with his loving companion, Guadalupe Garza.

With a strong work ethic and unwavering dedication, Hernaldo devoted 43 years of his life to Shell Oil Company, where he built a lasting legacy of hard work and commitment. He found joy in the great outdoors, spending his time fishing, hunting, and camping, always creating lasting memories with loved ones. A skilled pool player, he took pride in mastering the game from his father, a passion he carried throughout his life. Hernaldo’s warmth, wisdom, and laughter will forever be treasured by those who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace.

Please join us for the funeral services and celebration of life for Hernaldo Rivera at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, TX on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm with a prayer service starting at 1:30 pm

After the service at Forest Park, we invite you to join us for a celebration of life in honor of Hernaldo, enjoying the sport he loved at Fast Eddie's Pool Hall, 12344 Gulf Freeway in Houston, TX. Please feel free to share this with family and friends. And children welcome until 7:00 pm.
