Howard Lee Cook Jr. "Louie"

He graduated from Kirwin High School in 1953, and soon after went to work for Santa Fe RR. The summer after graduation while attending a district CYO function held on the beach, he met Jeannine Mason, whom he married on May 12, 1956. They left Galveston in 1957 and moved to Houston where he worked in the Maritime Industry. They had four children: Corey Cook and wife Terrie, Howard Cook III and wife Elizabeth, Kelly Shea and husband David and Sean Cook and wife Paige.

He retired from Local 1270 in 1987 and moved to Bayou Vista. Howard loved to fish and spent most of his free time fishing and enjoying family visits.

Besides his wife of 57 years and children he is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Amber Cook and fiancé Eber Cantu, Johnathan Eaves, Matthew Eaves, Cameron Cook, Daniel Cook, Morgan Cook and Emily Cook, two great grandson: E.J Cantu and Hunter Lee Eaves, three sister in laws and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Gloria Lema and granddaughter Coral Nicole Cook.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, August 25, 2013 with a rosary to recite at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be on Monday, August 26, 2013, at 10:00 am, all at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf FWY, Webster TX 77598.
