James Harold Tipton, Sr., was born May 27, 1934, at Pleasant Point, Texas, to James and Nellie Tipton and passed away November 09, 2011 of pancreatic disease. He is survived by wife Patsy Hall Tipton, children Brenda and husband Fred Jones, James H. Tipton Jr. and wife Michelle, grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Harold was blessed with a multitude of family and friends.
He was a member of Pipefitters Local 211 for over 55 years, a Mason of Archives Lodge No. 1399 A.F. & A.M. Pasadena, Texas and a member of South Avenue Baptist Church. Harold will be laid to rest in his childhood hometown at Pleasant Point Cemetery, Pleasant Point Texas, Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. The family requests memorials be directed to the Pancreatic Research Center.
