Whether skiing the slopes of Colorado, dancing on the beaches of Mexico or spontaneously joining a parade for Fiesta in San Antonio, Jane Thomas lived a life full of adventure and packed in as many experiences as possible in her 94 years of life. She passed away September 15, 2020.
Born on December 19, 1925 in Apopka, Florida she grew up with her mother, father and sister in various locations until settling in Jacksonville, Florida. She forged a path that included becoming a private pilot, rally car driver, water skier, snow skier, tennis player, bowler, philanthropist to many Houston area ( and national) charities and world traveler. Her biggest adventure was her 60 year marriage to her husband Marcus Thomas and being a mom to her children Terri Kolvoord (and husband Larry), Mike Pittman (and wife Brenda), Marca Price (and husband Greg) and “Grevy” to her eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She captivated any room she was in with her laugh, generosity and bigger than life persona. She loved to entertain whether in the gourmet club of the neighborhood or for family gatherings and she will be greatly missed, but never forgotten, by the friends and family she cherished so much.
