Layne's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, especially his grandson, who was a source of great joy and pride since the day he was born. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Roark; grandson, Jeffrey Brian Roark Jr.; daughter-in-law, Amanda Roark; and granddaughter, Kamilla.
He is also survived by his father, Ewing Donald Roark, and siblings, Lance Roark and Lisa Plyler. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many cherished friends.
With a strong work ethic and unwavering dedication, Layne devoted 31 years of his life to Filter Resources, where he built a lasting legacy of hard work and commitment.
He was a loving son, husband, father, grandpa, uncle, son-in-law, and brother-in-law. He was a BOI who loved surfing, fast cars, sports, and every genre of music. Later in life, surfing and, eventually, fast cars were good memories, but his love of sports and music remained. He enjoyed sharing those loves with his son and, later in life, with his grandson. He was a giant of a man and a personality to match. So easygoing and always ready to make you laugh. His quick wit and laughter will forever be treasured by those who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace.
