JoAnn was born in Howard, Kansas on December 30, 1933, to Ruby Molter & Delbert Long. She married her lifetime sweetheart, Elmer Ellsworth Jones in 1951 and they were blessed with 4 children. She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord and her family. She was a devout Christ follower from the young age of 8, an avid reader, a doll maker, she loved to sing, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, and painting. She made her family many homemade gifts and shared her knowledge and talents with us.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family. Her daughter, Pamela Jones; 11 grandchildren and their spouses; 32 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby & Frank Molter and Anita & Delbert Long. Her brother James Long and sister Louise Wunderlich. Her husband Ellsworth Jones, her daughter, Ella Jeanette "Jeannie" DeLaGarza; sons, Ellsworth “Scot” Hammett and Michael Shayne Jones and her great-grandson, Elian Emmons.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM, the Committal service will begin at 3:00PM, Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Forest Park East, Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
