He graduated from TJ High School in Port Arthur and proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the USAF. John worked as a piping designer for 45 years and was also a licensed pilot. He loved to dance, joke around and fast cars! His last Facebook post said “They’re telling me the virus is everywhere. I told them so is God.” John also enjoyed traveling, cooking, golf, and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Dickey, father Harvey Maxwell, adopted father John D. Dickey and brother Randall Dickey. He will be deeply missed by his wife Benita Boudreaux Dickey and two sons, Christopher and Joshua, one grandchild Kona Dickey and brother Jeffrey Dickey of Port Arthur, Texas.
