John Wayne Laird, Jr. passed away March 27, 2011 at the age of 39. He was born April 24, 1971 in Houston, Texas. John was a member of the Corps Cadet at Texas A & M University and graduated in 1993. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1991 until he was discharged in 2000 at the rank of Captain. He was a master peace officer and began working for the Harris County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff and Field Training Officer in 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Amy and their children, Jacob & Abigail Laird; father and stepmother, John Wayne Laird Sr. and wife, Marsha Laird; mother, Penny Laird; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Amie Laird & their children, niece, Carlee and nephew, Athen; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Don & Patti Douglas, many other relatives and friends.
