John Michael Minter Sr.

John Michael Minter Sr., 69, of Friendswood, Texas passed away May 9, 2020. He was born in Texas City, Texas to Bobby Ree Minter Sr. and Gwendolyn Minter Avitts on January 31, 1951. John grew up in the Pasadena area, where he attended Sam Rayburn High School, married the mother of his children, Wynnell Minter.

He did a short time in the Marine Corps, then John and his father Bobby R. Minter owned and operated Minter Auto Sales together until Bobby's passing on December 6, 1979. John ran Minter Auto Sales for 52 years and gave his all at everything he did in life. He WORKED HARD and PLAYED HARD until his FINAL HEARTBEAT on May 9, 2020.

John was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Ree Minter, Jr.

John is survived by his two sisters, Diana and Virginia. Also by his sons, John Michael Minter Jr. and Jason Paul Minter and daughters-in-law Natalie Dawn Minter and Faye Lynn Minter as well as his six grandchildren: John Michael Minter III, Madison Denie Minter, Meadow Dawn Minter, Brittany Lynn Minter, Jason Paul Minter II, Maximilian Minter and one great-granddaughter Lively Dawn Holman.

Services are to be held Monday, May 18, 2020 at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. Viewing will be at 1 o'clock until 3 o'clock, followed by services at 3 o'clock.
