Lisa, Jake, Dylan and Megan,
After hearing about Joe's passing the memories from South Houston Little League came flashing back. We have lost one of the good guys. We will keep Joe alive with all of our wonderful memories.
We are truly sorry for the pain that you are going thru at this time. Joe will not be forgotten. Everyday that goes by you will find the strenght to continue taking care of your children and watching over them. Please remember that I am just a phone call away. Keep the Faith Lisa.

Jean, Lisa, and Family. I am truly sorry for the pain that you are going thru at this time. I have fond memories of Joey playng with my kids when we were neighbors. My Joe, and Joey were Best Friends back then. They were good boys, and worked hard together during their summer vacations, mowing lawns to make their own money. When we moved away the boys remained good friends, and stayed in touch. I pray that God will give you comfort, and strength to face the tough days ahead. I wish there was something that I could say that would ease your pain. May God Bless you all, and my thought and prayers are with you always. Aunt Jean, Uncle Joe, Lisa, Meagan, Dylan, & Jake.  No words that I can write will be of any comfort but I do want to say to you all, I am so sorry.  I remember when I was about 6 or 7 and we went to Joey's house and he took all the kids out on his 8 wheeled dune buggy thing.  Every since then I have always wanted to have a four wheeler, but anything I ever got was not as cool as what Joey had.  That day we wore him out, begging for him to take us on more rides.  Go over higher hills, and with out even thinking he did. He kept all of us kids entertained for hours!!!  I know I don't come around as often as I should but you guys have always N will always be my family.  And part of what made me who I am today, and a big part is from Joey he was always the coolest grown up we knew as kids.  And every one of us looked up to him like he was a super hero.  He will be missed by all, but as long as we can share our happy memories with each other then he will always be in our hearts.  I love you guys and I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts. And may god give you all the strength to make it thru this trying time.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I live in the neighborhood and Joe took out some trees for me damaged by Hurricane Ike.  He was a good neighbor and a good friend.  He always was so proud of his kids.  He was a great guy.  He loved life and he loved his family.  I will remember you and the family in my prayers.

Jake and Danny being "look-a-likes" and teammates for years. . . Joe always a proud father  and role model for  kids.  We enjoyed him as a coach -so patient.  Hold friends  close - your kids closer. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Joey is the definition of a great man.Strong morals,extremely hard worker,and truly dedicated to his family.He was the proudest father I`ve ever known.Every time I saw him which was often ,he spent at least 15-20 minutes bragging about his kids,what they were doing and how well they were doing it.,He worked so hard so they would have an easier and better life.He loved and cherished his wife and was dedicated to their relationship.Joey always had a positive atittude and was a true friend who would do anything for his buddies.I love him and know the world won`t be the same without him.If you asked any of his friend`s ,I`m positive they would say they looked up to him ,Joey was the total package,everything a man should be.He will never be forgotten.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Your smile will be missed at Brookfield Properties and ThyssenKrupp.

I was so shocked to hear of Joey's accident. My heart aches for you. It has been a long time, but I can still hear Joey's giggles as we crawled around under the house in TX almost 40 years ago, especially when we found a snake. He had such a sweet smile. I love you.
