She came here from England and met R.C. Hall "Pawpaw" in his parents cafe. It was love at first site! Joyce and her husband R.C. Hall were owners and operators of R.C.’s Crane Rental located in Houston, Texas where they employed crane operators (including two of their sons), forklift operators, welders, painters, and mechanics for over twenty years.
Joyce was an extremely kind hearted and loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to anyone she ever met. She was also one of the most hardworking individuals you ever met, she had her first job as a child in London and continued her work ethic throughout her life.
Joyce’s hobbies were simple; she loved to cook, read recipe books, and she loved to garage sale with whoever was up for the challenge. She prepared large meals for family gatherings and cakes for everyone's birthdays.
She was preceded in death by husband R.C. Hall; sons Johnny, Alvin, and Raymond Hall; and sister Marjie Mayfield. She is survived by sister Pam Tatum; grandchildren Nissa Hall, Alvin Hall, Jr., Raymond Hall, Jr., Amy Ford, Ronnie Hall, Tessa Thompson, and Amber Hall; 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
