Joyce Lackey, 88, of Conroe, passed away on December 2, 2025. She was born in Houston, Texas, on August 15, 1937, to Hamp and Bessie Davis. She was married to the love of her life, Donald Lackey, for 68 years and devoted herself to creating the best life for her husband and family. She had a passion for music, traveling, flowers, and above all, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hamp and Bessie Davis and her brother Charles Lee Davis.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Donald Lackey, sons Reese (Greg), Mark (Denise), Craig, and daughter Karen Hoop (Kemp), grandchildren Brittney (Brad), Heather (Michael), Marcus (Vicki), Chase, Adam, Seth, Caroline, Camdyn, and numerous great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on December 8, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. The funeral service will follow from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A committal service will take place from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm, also at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
