Juliet Persaud

Mangri (Juliet) Persaud, 68 years old, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away January 30, 2016. She was born in Georgetown, Guyana on January 27, 1948 to Rampersaud (father) and Bophia (mother). She was married to Motilall (Charlie) Persaud for 52 years. Juliet worked at Mundy for 30 years in the Chemical Plant Industry as an assistant to many departments.

Julie had a passion for her grandsons, her three children and her husband. She also loved animals and was particularly partial to her sweet puppy, Prince. She was an amazing cook and always enjoyed hosting friends and family all year long, but especially during the Holidays. She truly enjoyed family time and spent much of her vacationing traveling the country to visit all of her extended family. Julie’s only guilty pleasure was hitting the slot machines, and was blessed to have spent her last week of life celebrating her birthday in Las Vegas with her children.

Juliet was preceded in death by her mother, Bophia; father, Rampersaud; brothers Sase and Boodhan; half-brother, Earnest; nieces, Theresa and Shanta; and nephew, Freddy.

She is survived by her loving husband, Motilall (Charlie) Persaud; daughter, Indy Persaud-Santo and husband Tony; son, Vishnu Persaud and wife Kelly; son, Krishna Persaud; grandsons Justin Persaud, Jonathan Persaud and Anthony Santo; brother, Dernarine; sisters Doris, Pearley and Vera; nephews Terry, Raymond, Francis, Patrick, Richard, Michael, Kenny, David, Cecil, Basil, Henry, Dev Anand, Peter and Black Boy; nieces Jean, Sindra, Yonne, Joycelene, Seeta, Anno, Emily, Dorthy, Doreen, Evelyn, Nadira, Hersila, Lalita and Jeano; half-brothers David and Dennis; half-sisters Juliet, Joycee and Glorie; and many second nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Persaud, Jonathan Persaud, Tony Santo, Anthony Santo, Terry Phulesar and Patrick Lall.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with a Memorial Service beginning at 12:30 p.m.
