"Kiki" Weingartner

Edith, who was better known as Kiki to her family and friends, graced our family for 93 years. She and her husband Harold were married in 1946 and were blessed to have shared 52 years together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a Girl Scout Leader for both of her girls and cookie chairman for her grand daughters. She was an active member of the PTA, a room mother and she volunteered at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital for over 42 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly and husband Ray Silhavy and Carolyn Schlein, her forever Son-in-law, John Schlein, close friend Louis Peltier, and cherished friend Polly Horlander. Granddaughters Leslie McBroom (Kevin), Debbie Girouard (Kurt), Stacey Scott (Chris), and Rebecca Williams (David). She also has 14 great and 2 great great grandchildren.

Kiki was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents Louis and Marie Ambroise, sisters Elsie (Mickey) Byers, Evelyn (Elou) La Brucherie, Lillian (Chick) Phillips and brother Ronald (Ronnie) Ambroise.

A visitation will be on Thursday, June 16th from 9:30-10:30 AM with service to follow at Forest Park East.
