Kim Spriggs was born on January 20, 1970, in Đồng Tháp, Vietnam to her parents Bột Văn Nguyễn and Giàu Thi Nguyễn. She went to school at PTTH Đồng Tháp. In 2002, she married her best friend and husband, William, and moved to the United States.
In the U.S. she lived on a farm in the small town of Hillsboro, Texas for many years with her husband and stepchildren, Alex and Elen. Her new parents-in-law, Harold and Ruth Spriggs, welcomed her with warmth and love, traveling with her and showing her many sights and places. She loved her new family and spent a lot of time learning about American lifestyles. They would often go out to the deer lease in Texas or to Canada to hunt and fish.
In 2006, she had a daughter, Nicole, with her husband. Around 2010, her husband and daughter moved to Texas City. They were soon followed by their adult children, Elen and Alex. There she lived the rest of her life with her husband of 23 years and her supportive family of children and grandchildren.
Kim Spriggs was a skilled nail technician, loving to care for her customers and to make them feel beautiful. She was also a gifted cook, preparing warm meals and traditional Vietnamese dishes for her family. She found great joy managing her home and creating a safe, loving place. Her love language has always been serving others, which is reflected in her children and friends who supported her in the final months of her life. She often gave selflessly to everyone around her, touching the lives of everyone who met her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength which will continue to live on in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
