Kimberly Jane (Meadows) Widener

Kimberly Jane Widener, 62, passed away on March 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on April 17, 1963, in Orlando, Florida, Kim was a woman of extraordinary intellect, artistic talent, and a lifelong heart for service.

Kim’s journey was one of both leadership and creativity. She earned her bachelor's degree from Rollins College and went on to achieve a master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University. Her professional career was marked by early success as she rose to become the Director of Medical Equipment at Cape Canaveral Hospital, where her leadership helped many.

Beyond her professional achievements, Kim was a gifted artist. Whether she was painting or breathing new life into old pieces through furniture restoration, she saw beauty where others did not. This passion culminated in her store, Southern Traditions Home, where she shared her vision and creativity with the community.

A devoted member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority, Kim turned her spirit of giving into action, supporting charitable causes and bringing comfort to the residents at Laurel Court Nursing Home.

Above all her accomplishments, her greatest joy was her family. She cherished the time spent with her niece, Sara Lynn, especially their daily drives to school together—moments that became a cornerstone of their bond.

Kimberly is survived by her mother, Sara Meadows; her brother, David W. Meadows Jr. and his wife Tonia; and her beloved niece, Sara Lynn Meadows. She was preceded in death by her father, David W. Meadows Sr.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, US, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location on April 25, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

A reception will immediately follow the service at David and Tonia’s Home. The address will be provided at the service.
